Children's Museum of Idaho is excited to announce we will be offering First Friday Sensory Awareness and Accessibility Evenings May 5, June 2, July 7. We understand that a visit to the Museum can present challenges for some families. The Children’s Museum strives to be an inclusive and accessible space that celebrates neurodiversity and welcomes people of all needs and abilities.
First Friday evenings are scheduled monthly April-July from 5:00-7:00pm for families of children on the autism spectrum, with sensory processing disorders, and/or other special needs.
What to Expect:
Limited attendance (pre-registration required)
Low lighting and reduced noise in the exhibit areas
Therapy dogs
Sensory bins
Weighted vests and noise cancelling headphone if requested (limited supply)
Dedicated quiet area
Connect with other families who may share similar life experiences
Food and beverages may be consumed in the outdoor areas or Community Room during the First Friday sessions if you clean-up before you leave the room

In an effort to better serve our guests and provide a welcoming, adaptive environment that meets your needs, discountedadvanced ticket purchase and member reservations are required two days prior to the session.Tickets are non-refundable.
