Early Education Impact Award
2026 Honoree - Patricia Kempthorne
The Early Education Impact Award was created to honor individuals who, through exemplary work and commitment to education, have impacted multiple generations of children and families in our community.
On May 13, 2026, the Children's Museum of Idaho will be honoring Former First Lady Patricia Kempthorne with the Early Education Impact Award at the Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho.

Patricia Kempthorne is a lifelong advocate for families, early education, and workforce readiness. A University of Idaho graduate in business management, she has dedicated her career to nonprofit leadership and community service and received an honorary doctorate in Administrative Policy from the university in 2014. As Idaho’s First Lady from 1999 to 2006, Patricia championed initiatives supporting children and parents, including the statewide implementation of Parents as Teachers. Early in her nonprofit work, she helped launch three early learning programs to support working parents through childcare resource and referral. In 2005, she founded the Twiga Foundation, which advances family consciousness, early learning, and workplace flexibility as essential supports for working families. She has also contributed to national early childhood efforts through The Alliance for Early Success.
To reserve your ticket, sponsor a table, or provide a tribute ad, please reach out to Amy Costello at (208) 205-9522 or Amy@CMIdaho.org.
Contributions will directly support program expansion, museum access, and sustainability of the museum for generations to come.
